Imam al-Baqir (a.s.) said: For one who recites Yasin once inhis lifetime Allah writes for him virtues million times more than thenumber of Allah’s creatures that are in this world and would be inthe heavens on the Day of Judgment, and the same number of hissins would be forgiven and that man would not be afflicted withpoverty and sorrow: he would be safe from death by being buriedunder debris, misfortune, madness and doubts and from every suchillness that might give him pain, and Allah would make the pangs ofdeath and its fear easy and light; and at the time of departure of thesoul, Allah would be his Helper while for one whose helper is Allahthere is generous livelihood in this world while in the next therewould be happiness and pleasure before Allah and also a greatreward.
When he meets his Lord in the Hereafter Allah would say toall the angels that exist in skies and the earth that I am happy andsatisfied with such and such a man, so O angels, all of you seekforgiveness for this man.2.
The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.s.) said: Indeed everything hasa heart and the heart of Quran is Surah Yasin and for one who recitesSurah Yasin, Allah writes the reward of reciting the Quran ten timesover.3.
The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.s.) said: One who recitesSurah Yasin at night for the sake of Allah, Allah forgives him thatnight.4.
The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.s.) said: Yasin is the heart ofQuran.
No servant recites it intending Allah and the hereafter butthat He forgives his past sins.
Then recite it on your departed ones.5.
It is from his (s.a.w.s.) traditions in it merits: One who recitesit, it is equal for him to twenty Hajjs and one who listens to it, it isequal to giving one thousand Dinars in the way of Allah, and one255who writes it and then drinks it, he would acquire in his inside athousand cures, a thousand lights, a thousand certainties and athousand blessings and every disease and malady would be takenaway from him.6.
The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.s.) said: One who enters thegraveyard and recites Surah Yasin, on this day his burden of sins islightened and for him are rewards equal to the number of peopleburied therein.7.
The Messenger of Allah (s.a.w.s.) said: One who recitesYasin and Saffat on Friday and then beseeches Allah, Allah fulfillshis demand.
